11/4/2023 0 Comments Lowes dewalt drill set dealsI'm a Dewalt fanboy, but that doesn't mean they're the best at everything. I don't believe Bosch makes one of those. For example, I use a Dewalt battery powered mitre saw on some jobs. If you're happy with Bosch battery powered products, I'd stick with it, but think about another ecosystem as a backup, or for products that Bosch doesn't make. It depends on the quality you're looking for and how long you expect a tool to work. I have no complaints with my cheap Ryobi inflator, but there is no way I'd ever buy a Ryobi saw. However, one brand doesn't necessarily have all the tools that you want, or some you don't need a high quality product. You're more likely to keep with one brand. This is not to say that any of them are bad, it's just how it works. Metabo has some good tools (triple hammer drill/drivers and cordless saw) but aren't as readily available.Ĭraftman/Porter Cable/Hart/etc I'd probably choose Ridgid/Ryobi over them.īut I really like Flex offerings and they have the most batteries that use the newer stacked packs instead of cells but their tool lineup isn't very large/available right now.ĭewalt and other power tool companies out at very competitive prices on battery powered drills to get you hooked on their ecosystem. Makita is between Dewalt and Milwaukee in terms of price but offer a large diverse variety of tools that most brands don't offer. I'd hate to make a bad start.īosch and Milwaukee will be the most expensive, Milwaukee will be more readily available in the big box stores.ĭewalt will have the most sales but their tools are usually a step behind Milwaukee's however their new offerings are on par for now. This is really worrying.Īnyone want to chime in? I feel like jumping into a new system needs a lot of thought, as it's a lot of money by the time you buy the tools, then the batteries. Not to mention that Dewalt moved the battery to a 90-day warranty, even for batteries purchased separately. I had just assumed that the first time I saw a Dewalt on sale, I'd jump in, but I was looking into the batteries, and there are a LOT of complaints. I'm looking to move into a new world, as my old Bosch is giving up the ghost after 12 hard-working renovation years!
